Terms of Use

Last updated: May 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing and using the Paros Car Bookings website and services ("we", "our company") you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or car rental services.

2. Services

We provide car rental services in Paros. Information shown on the website regarding availability, prices and vehicle characteristics is for informational purposes only. Your booking is finalized once it has been confirmed by us and all terms presented during the reservation process have been accepted and fulfilled. Vehicles are reserved by category, not by specific model; we may substitute an equivalent or higher category vehicle if necessary.

3. Driver qualifications

To rent a vehicle, all drivers (including additional drivers) must:

  • be at least 23 years of age and not older than 65 years of age,
  • hold a valid driving licence that has been held for at least one year prior to the rental period,
  • present a valid ID card or passport and their reservation reference at pickup.

Non-EU citizens, or drivers whose licence is not issued in English or Greek characters, are required to present an International Driving Licence in addition to their national licence.

All additional drivers are subject to the same age and licence requirements as the primary renter and must be present at pickup to sign the rental agreement.

4. Renter obligations and conditions of use

The renter is required to:

  • inspect the vehicle at pickup and report any existing damage before driving away,
  • pick up and return the vehicle on the agreed dates, times and locations,
  • return the vehicle in the same mechanical and cleanliness condition as received (normal wear and tear excluded),
  • use only unleaded fuel; using the wrong fuel type is not covered by insurance and all costs are the renter's responsibility.

Vehicles may not be used for:

  • towing or pushing other vehicles,
  • racing or any motor sport activity,
  • driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication that impairs driving ability,
  • transport outside Paros island — vehicles are not permitted to be taken on a ferry or used off-island without our prior written permission,
  • use by any driver not named in the rental agreement,
  • any use that violates Greek road-traffic law,
  • any repairs or mechanical work carried out without our prior authorisation.

5. Vehicle pickup and return

Delivery and collection is free of charge daily between 08:00 and 22:00. Service outside these hours carries an additional charge of €10; surcharges may also apply for certain delivery zones.

A grace period of 15 minutes is allowed for late returns. Beyond 15 minutes, a charge of one third (1/3) of the applicable daily rate per hour will apply until the vehicle is returned.

If you fail to collect your vehicle without prior notice, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation after 1 hour. In such cases, any deposit paid is non-refundable.

6. Fuel policy

Vehicles are provided with a full tank and must be returned with the same fuel level. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, we will charge for the missing fuel plus an administration fee of €10. Only unleaded petrol may be used.

7. Insurance

All rentals include Third Party Liability Insurance, which covers third parties up to €1,000,000 for bodily injury and property damage, in accordance with Greek law.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is available as an optional add-on. CDW reduces the renter's financial liability for accidental damage to the vehicle. The applicable excess amount ranges from €500 to €2,000 depending on the vehicle category. CDW does not cover damage to: the underside of the vehicle, interior, roof, windscreen, glass, mirrors, wheels/rims, antenna, tyres, or any accessories.

Insurance cover (including CDW) is void in the following circumstances:

  • driving by a person not named in the rental agreement,
  • driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs or impairing medication,
  • late return beyond the agreed return time,
  • driving on unpaved or off-road tracks,
  • reckless or negligent driving,
  • illegal parking causing damage,
  • lost or damaged keys,
  • intentional damage,
  • incorrect fuel,
  • use of the vehicle outside Paros island,
  • flat tyres.

8. Payments and cancellations

Payment can be made at the time of vehicle pickup by cash, Visa or Mastercard. If you wish to pay by credit or debit card, please request this in advance when booking.

Cancellation policy: For cancellations made more than one month (30 days) before the pickup date, a full refund of any deposit paid will be given. For cancellations made within one month of the pickup date, the deposit is non-refundable. To cancel or amend your booking, please contact us by email or phone as early as possible.

9. Traffic violations and fines

The renter is solely responsible for the payment of all traffic fines, toll charges and parking penalties incurred during the rental period. If we are required to intervene with the authorities on your behalf, an administration fee of €25 will apply.

10. Accidents and breakdowns

In the event of an accident or breakdown, the renter must:

  • contact us immediately on +30 22840 22558,
  • photograph all damage to all vehicles involved,
  • collect the contact details of any witnesses,
  • not admit fault or liability to any third party,
  • complete an accident report form,
  • contact the police if required by law or if the other party refuses to cooperate.

We are not liable for personal belongings or valuables lost, stolen or damaged inside the vehicle.
